Feeling Nostalgic

I've collected vintage ornaments for many years.  They just bring back so many memories and make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.  I have seen so many beautiful wreaths created by vintage ornaments, and have wanted to create my own for a long time.  However, every time I thought about putting glue on my beautiful treasures, I cringed and dismissed the thought.

So many things have had happened in the last few months, and my views about things have changed somewhat.  Life is too short to worry over little things or to be afraid to try new adventures.  So....with that mindset, I took on the challenge....and I'm sure glad I did!

Let's take a look, shall we???

My tip is to try things out before you begin gluing!
Here are some upclose pics...

I'm pretty proud of the way it turned out!  I'm so glad I took the chance on gluing my beautiful vintage ornaments because now I have a beautiful Christmas creation!

  1. I do believe that is the prettiest wreath I've ever seen...of course, now I WANT ONE, TOO...LOL
I have a few vintage ornaments that I might just give this a try. I'm not crafty but I can use a glue gun. I like the silvery wreath ....looks like snow and ice...I love it

  2. Rebecca, glad you jumped in and made this wreath. It is gorgeous! You won't be sorry. Now you can enjoy all those vintage ornaments as your gaze upon this beautiful creation. Kudos on a job well done! My friend Alison @ The Polohouse posted about doing just this on her bog today. She too has been saving vintage ornaments. I'm going to send her the link to your post. '-)

  3. Wow, your wreath is gorgeous!! Now I want to try and make one. I have so many extra of everything that I could easily spare some for a wreath. What a treasure to have!

  4. This is awesome. All ornament wreaths are not created equal. Yours has that extra something that makes the whole greater than its part. Buy it a wreath garage! It's to gorgeous to chance it getting damaged! Happy Pink Saturday.

  5. Hi There - thank you so much for visiting me. Your wreath is gorgeous! You did an amazing job. I too just recently started putting a group of greens and ornaments on some of my wall plaques for my shop. So much fun. A lot of my Christmas items are still packed so I'm looking forward to finding again my vintage ornaments. Thank you so much for sharing this - it truly is a work of art!
