Who Rescued Whom?

This sweet girl has stolen my heart!
And here is our story...

Empty Nest was hard enough when we were still together...but now that I am on my own... the struggle is real at times.  While scrolling through my feeds on facebook one night, I saw a post about someone finding a sweet little girl-pup.  I made a comment about hoping this little cutie would find her owner soon.  I didn't think much more about it...that night at least.  However, for the next several days, I kept checking back...and it seemed that no one was going to claim this little girl.  The lady who had found her and made the post seemed not to be able to keep her.  More days went by, and I kept checking.  I couldn't get this little girl off my mind!  I thought a lot about it....with it just being me now, and in an apartment, etc. etc. but I couldn't help myself.  I asked about the little pup and the lady said no one had come forward.  The lady had made signs, fliers, posted on the rescue sight in her town, etc. etc.  Nothing.  This little girl didn't seem to be missing from anyone's life....but MINE.  I checked back the next day, and told the lady I was coming to get her.  She seemed relieved that the pup would have a home.  That night, I went puppy shopping for all the necessary items, and began to puppy-proof the cottage.  The very next day, I set off on the 45 min. trip to see this sweet girl.  As soon as I parked in the driveway, I spotted the lady in the backyard with this little one on a leash.  The puppy started to get excited over the "company" that had just pulled up.  The lady let go of the leash, and that puppy....MY PUPPY...came barreling across the backyard almost knocking me down.  She frantically tried to climb up me to get to my arms.  I sat down, and that sweet baby got in my lap, put her little paws on my shoulders (like a hug) and began to knock me backwards with kisses!  The lady almost started crying.  She said she had not acted that happy with either her or her husband.  It was like she knew I had come to rescue her...and take her to her forever home.  This little puppy had no idea that SHE had just rescued ME!  And this little puppy.....is at her forever home now with her forever mommy...and has been named....
Emmeline Rose

Over time, I have checked on you to see if you had posted and figured that either you were too busy or had lost interest in it, like so many others. Emmy is precious and I am sure she will bring you joy and sunshine to your days.
